This talk will discuss bodily modifications from past to present.
About the Presenter
Daniel is a first year MA Candidate in Biological Anthropology at the University of Toronto. He received his Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology from Simon Fraser University earlier this year. During the course of his undergrad, he undertook a field excavation season working on an archaeological dig in Greece, and it was there that he got his first tattoo. Since then, he has developed a passion and fascination for the ancient history and cultural meanings behind tattoos, piercings, and body modifications, and has chosen to speak on this topic for the 2013 Got Anthropology? lecture series.
